Shawano 55

Tyrell Hesse led Shawano with a team-high 14 points as the Hawks lost on the road Saturday night in overtime.

Austin Kohl and Alex Mueller each reached double figures with 10 points for Shawano (3-6, 2-1 Bay Conference), which had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds.

Junior Dakota Maltbey pulled down seven rebounds, and Cole Nelson posted five assists.


Bonduel 63

Shiocton 38

Senior Becca Carpenter had nine points, seven rebounds and four assists as the Bears won on the road Monday night.

Hayley Sorenson posted 13 points, and Emily Sorenson had 12 points to go with four steals for Bonduel (10-3, 4-2 Central Wisconsin Conference-8).

Danee Collier recorded nine points and five steals while Kailee Pedersen pitched in 12 points.

Senior Taylor Nier scored a game-high 28 points on 12 of 14 shooting in Monday’s home victory.

Samantha Kasprak added 10 points, and Corrissa Konkol pitched in eight for the Chargers (11-0, 5-0 Central Wisconsin Conference-8).

Nier pulled down eight rebounds, and Kirsten Clark added six assists for the hosts.

Bonduel 68

Senior Kailee Pederson posted a game-high 10 points as the Bears won at home Saturday night.

Emily Sorenson and Brittany Wudtke each scored eight for Bonduel (9-3, 3-2 Central Wisconsin Conference-8).

Twelve of the 14 players on the varsity roster scored for the Bears.


Pyawasay grabs GB United title

At 195 pounds, Aaron Pyawasay pinned all five of his opponents at Saturday’s Green Bay United Invitational to finish as the champion.

Austin Oreskovic, Crede Timm and Sam Tourtilott each lost their first match of the day before fighting back and winning the next four matches for fifth-place finishes.

Freshman Ben Carroll won his first two matches before losing each of his next three and taking fourth place.
