David W. Wegner

David Wegner, 76, of Bonduel, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Green Bay. Born on March 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Loren and Bernice (Gehm) Wegner.

David graduated from Bonduel schools in 1959, and on May 5, 1962, he was united in marriage to Sandra Bohm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Zachow. Together the couple operated a dairy farm until 1993. Dave also worked at Packerland Packing for 21 years, retiring in 2014. In his free time Dave loved being outdoors. He spent countless hours in the woods, planting trees, making wood and doing landscaping in the yard. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, spending quality time with his family and friends.

David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandy; his children, Troy (Anita) Wegner, of Bonduel, Tracy (Jerry) McClone, of Bonduel, Tricia (Josh) Marohl, of Bonduel, and Trent (Sherry) Wegner, of Cecil; grandchildren, Ashley (Bob), Derek (Terri), Cody (Ashley), Marissa, Courtney (Brandon), Heather, Rilynn, Dillon (Kenzy), Brandon (Casey), Nolan, Austin, and Carter; great-grandchildren, Chase, Zachary, Jeremiah, Audrey, Dawson and another great-granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by a brother, Donald (Marge) Wegner, of Minnesota, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lauren Marohl; his parents; a sister, Mary Weix; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lucille and Cennie Bohm; and a sister-in-law, Vickie Bohm.

A funeral service for David will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and again on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
