Donations sought for Tigerton Main Street celebration

Tigerton Main Street will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a bigger-than-ever Fourth of July block party. The event will be held July 4 in downtown Tigerton, and the silent auction will be housed in the Old Village Hall.

Festivities begin at 2 p.m. and go until 7 p.m. The auction closes at 5 p.m. Fireworks begin at dusk near the high school. Gary Kuchenbecker’s Old Lager Band will highlight the activities from 3-7 p.m. Food, kids’ games and raffles will occur throughout the day.

The silent auction is a major fundraiser for Tigerton Main Street, funding the organization’s building maintenance and many community services and programs. Donations of handcrafted items, antiques, collectibles, gift certificates, coupons, tickets to area events, retail items and offers of services are being sought from area businesses and residents. Cash donations are also being accepted to offset the cost of the fireworks.

Donations can be dropped off at the Main Street office in the Old Village Hall, downtown Tigerton, weekdays between 8 a.m. and noon, or call Kathi Polzin at 715-535-2931 to arrange for pickup.
