Barbara J. Hughes

Barbara J. Hughes, 80, of Shawano, passed away on Aug. 5, 2018. Barb was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on Feb. 21, 1938, a daughter of the late Clyde and Mary (Kuffskie) Abernathy. The couple made their home on a farm in Cecil, where they raised their family. After moving off the farm, Barb worked for Snyder Drug and Pick-N-Save. More than anything, Barb cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved making big meals for the family to enjoy.

She is further survived by two sisters, Betty Parker and Mary-Virginia Hutto; and one brother, Charles Abernathy.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie LaRock; son-in-law, Duke Moesch Jr.; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
