Dale E. Hoppe

Dale E. Hoppe, 86, of Hartford, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha. Dale was born June 28, 1932, in Shawano to Sarah (nee Hoffmann) and Arthur A. Hoppe. Dale proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Europe for four years. He was united in marriage to Carol L. Reinke in Shawano on May 26, 1956. He was an active member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Hartford and an avid reader of the Bible. Dale also served on the board of elders at Divine Savior for six years. Dale enjoyed muskie and walleye fishing. He also enjoyed traveling and going to Las Vegas and out west. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan and liked to play sheepshead. He worked for the Perlick Corporation for 40 years and retired as a production supervisor.

Dale is survived by his loving son, Jon (Beth) Hoppe, of Sussex; cherished grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan) Tomten and Tyler Hoppe; great-grandson, Lukas; dear sister, Lois Clayton; and sister-in-law, Shirley Kalkofen. He is further survived by other loved relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Emil and Ethel (nee Butt) Reinke; beloved wife of 56 years, Carol L. Hoppe; and brother-in-law, Jim Kalkofen.

Funeral services for Dale will be held at Divine Savior Lutheran Church, 3200 County Road K South, Hartford, Friday, Oct. 12, at 6 p.m. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service. Interment in Woodlawn City Cemetery in Shawano on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018.
