Hagedorn will protect people’s liberties

To the editor:

Fellow Wisconsinites, our liberties, guns, and freedoms we enjoy in Wisconsin are slowly being stolen from us. There are many judges who write their own laws instead of following the Constitution. We have judges ruling the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms, should be thrown out. We have judges ruling the unborn do not have a right to life. We have judges ruling religious liberties are not relevant anymore.

We, the Wisconsinites, have let judges make laws instead of delivering what the Constitution declares what is law. Our Constitution lays out the law of the land, and this is final. A judge that wants to make law should be running for a seat in the legislative branch, not the judicial branch!

Let us pause and reflect for a moment the brilliant teachings of former U.S. president and father of the Constitution, James Madison (1809-1817): “I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.”

These inspiring words came during a time in America where people did not vote, nor participate nor pay attention to what their judges were doing. Is this still true today? Will Wisconsinites only listen when the situation gets too worse to finally take action? Would you allow judges to disregard our Constitution?

Please, join us on April 2 to vote for Judge Brian Hagedorn, a judge who has defended our constitutional rights, protects those unable to speak, and respects religious liberties. Judge Brian Hagedorn will protect our guns, unborn babies and liberties so you and your children may continue to live free.

On April 2, Show your support for Judge Brian Hagedorn. Thank you and God bless.
