Track and field: Tigerton girls seventh at indoor meet

The Tigerton High School girls track and field team took seventh place at the Northland Pines Indoor Invitational on Saturday behind a pair of third-place finishes from Monika Minniecheske.

Minniecheske posted a time of 10.77 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles and 34.62 in the 200 hurdles to take third in both races. Her time in the 200 hurdles was also a school record.

Ladia Block also came in third for the Tigers, posting a time of 1:14.03 in the 400. Block took fifth in the high jump (4 feet, 2 inches).

Elizabeth Robbins placed fifth in the 200 (30.91).

The Tigerton boys scored one point on an eighth-place finish from Gage Shumaker in the 3,200 (14:31.22).
