UFO tales and more coming to library

For over two decades, paranormal researcher Chad Lewis has traveled the back roads of the world in search of the strange and unusual.

Lewis will be bringing some tales of those bizarre incidents to Shawano on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Shawano Public Library. The presentation is free.

From tracking vampires in Transylvania and searching for the elusive monster of Loch Ness to trailing the dangerous Tata Duende through remote villages of Belize and searching for ghosts in Ireland’s haunted castles, Lewis has scoured the earth in search of the paranormal.

Lewis has been featured on the Discovery Channel’s “A Haunting,” William Shatner’s “Weird or What,” ABC’s “Scariest Places on Earth,” “Monsters and Mysteries in America” along with being a frequent contributor on “Ripley’s Believe it or Not Radio.”

With a master’s degree in psychology, Lewis has authored over 20 books on the supernatural, and extensively lectures on his fascinating findings. The more bizarre the legend, the more likely it is that Lewis will be there.

Wisconsin has a rich history of UFO and alien encounters, according to Lewis. Each year, hundreds of people witness something in the sky that they can’t explain. Even more bizarre are those who believe they have come face to face with extraterrestrial beings.

Lewis explores some of the most bizarre UFO encounters Wisconsin has to offer. Filled with eyewitness encounters, historical sightings, and on-site investigations, this presentation presents the audience with UFOs buzzing over crop circles, aliens shaped like small birds, a sheriff’s bizarre run-in with a hovering craft and a family being abducted.
