Elda Marie Vele

Elda Marie Vele, 87, of Bowler, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in Wausau. She was born on April 29, 1932, to the late Herbert Stick and Ella (Gardner) Stick Besaw in Red Springs. Elda lived in the Milwaukee area for many years, and in 1988, she returned to Bowler. She loved spending her time with her grandchildren, gardening and completing crossword puzzles.

Elda was survived by her daughters, Gloria Vele and Cheryl Vele, both of Bowler; her sons, Adrian (Jeannie) Vele, of Bowler, Dennis Vele, of Redgranite, Jeff (Rebecca) Vele, of Bowler, and Scott (Rebecca) Vele, of Red Springs; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Reimer, of Bowler, and Bette Besaw, of Bowler; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Ella; three sons, Curtis, Gerald and Randall Vele; grandchildren, Erica, John Coon, Forest, and Randall Jr.; siblings, Howard, Owen, Gordon, Harvey, Syral, Lena, Leo, Dave and Jack.

Gathering of family was held at her residence. Burial was held in Gresham Public Cemetery.

Our dear mother is as beautiful as the world you see around you, the stones, flowers, children — Our mother is as pretty as the morning you wake to. She is our grandmother, auntie and sister; we are with you today, yesterday and forever in our hearts. We love you, Mom!
