Veterans' courage recalled in ceremony

A crowd of more than 100 people gathered outside the Shawano County Courthouse for the annual Veterans Day ceremony Friday.

"I am not a veteran, but there's not a day that goes by where I'm not thankful for the life that I have or the country I live in, or the freedoms and liberties we all have thanks to our veterans," said keynote speaker Todd Carlson, Shawano School District superintendent.
