John Fink

John Manton Lee Fink, 85, of Bonduel, was suddenly called to his eternal home by his Lord and Savior on Dec. 23, 2015. John was born Oct. 12, 1930, in the town of Hartland. He enjoyed working on his farm on Highway 47 south of Bonduel all his life, right up to the time of his passing. He was the son of the late John C. Fink and Anna (Popelka) Fink. He attended the Slab City School until the eighth grade. He went early to school each winter morning to start the fire and get the school warm. On Oct. 11, 1952, he married Beverly Hansen, of Shawano. They were happily married for 63 years. John and Beverly enjoyed traveling in their later years. Some of the places they visited were Hawaii, Alaska, Australia, England, Holland, Spain, Mexico, North Carolina, Florida and Washington. John was a lifelong member of Friedens Lutheran Church in Bonduel, having served on the council and other offices for many years.

Nelda Pauline Agnes Habeck, 95, of Clintonville, was granted her wish of enjoying Christmas dinner with Jesus as she passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Dec. 24, 2015, at the Aster Retirement Community in Clintonville.

Thomas S. Neumann Sr.

Thomas S. “Tom” Neumann, Sr., 63, entered Heaven and joined his wife, Gail, on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, with his loving family by his side.

Tom was born on Feb. 5, 1952, to Felix and Kathryne (Mudzek) Neumann. He grew up in the Black Creek area where he also attended school. On April 25, 1970, he was united in marriage to the former Gail Balthazor. They resided in the town of Underhill where they raised their children and grandchildren. Tom was a hard worker all his life. He worked at Brillion Iron for years and was currently employed by Gerald and Ann Mares.

Tom loved to hunt and fish. He also loved camping. His favorite places to camp were Camp 6 and Neumann’s Lake. A lot of great memories were cherished there by Tom and his family. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by his children.

Gladys Fern Krueger (nee Olson), 94, of Clintonville, passed away on Dec. 23, 2015, at Evergreen Care Center in Shawano.

Roy W. Kriesel

Roy William Kriesel, 91, of the town of Seneca in Shawano County, was called home by the Lord on Dec. 21, 2015, at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Shawano. Roy was born May 14, 1924, on the Kriesel family farm and lived there all his life. He was the son of the late John and Lillie (Mueller) Kriesel. Roy attended a one-room country school for eight years and at age 13 began working on the family dairy farm. In the mid-1950s, Roy took over the farm and turned it into a Hereford beef farm, a business that lasted 40 years. Additionally, for 50 years he cooked maple syrup from the hundreds of trees he tapped each spring.

Donna J. Neosh

Donna Jean Neosh, 72, of Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, in Green Bay. Donna was born in Keshena on Nov. 11, 1943, the daughter of the late Mose and Edna (Shawanomitta) Neosh. She was born and raised in Keshena and lived in Chicago during her teens. In her 30s, she moved to Green Bay where she resided until her death. When Donna was younger, she had an interest in and followed politics, especially tribal politics. She always encouraged her family and friends to vote. She supported firearm protection and firearm safety. Donna loved attending powwows, bike riding, fishing, and was an avid Packers fan. She volunteered her time helping St. Vincent DePaul and the Salvation Army, especially bell ringing. She was a member of and volunteered at Mana for Life Ministries. She was a very family oriented, loving mother and grandmother and will be extremely missed by her family.

Brandon J. Martin

Brandon James Martin, 30, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Appleton. Brandon was born in Shawano on May 5, 1985, the son of Douglas and Nola (Klosterman) Martin. On Sept. 23, 2014, Brandon was united in marriage to Shanell Boston in Beloit. He had a great sense of humor and loved playing jokes on people. He was a talented artist, and loved drawing and tattooing. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with his dogs, and helping others.

Brandon is survived by his wife, Shanell; four step-children, Shane, Natalia, Gavin and Isaac Lounsbury; his parents, Douglas and Nola Martin, and one sister, Mary Martin; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, including special nephews, Chris, Kyle and Vinnie, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas and Christopher; his grandparents, Alex and Mary Martin, and Eugene and Violet Klosterman.

Terrence J. Gauthier

Terrence “Terry” “Toliver” J. Gauthier, 68, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Appleton. Terry was born in Keshena on Jan. 27, 1947, to the late Herman and Doris (Mahkimetas) Gauthier. He lived in the Chicago area for 20 years, returning to Shawano in 1993. Terry was a baptized member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit and enjoyed playing bingo.

Terry is survived by his children, Michelle (Michael) Garnett, of Rosemont, Illinois, and Robin Waukau, of Keshena; three brothers, Greg (Elsa) Gauthier, of Germany, William Wallace, of Shawano, and James Martin (Laverne) Wallace, of Minneapolis. He is further survived by his grandchildren, including Maran and McKayla, and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew Robert Wallace.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gauthier; one son, Michael; his parents; one sister, Patricia DeLaCruz; and one nephew, Peter Kim Denning.

Mary C. Tozer

Mary Christine Tozer, 61, of Bonduel, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 in Appleton. Mary was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on May 14, 1954, the daughter of the late Charles and Shirley Bortner. She enjoyed going to the casino, especially playing bingo. Mary loved camping and traveling, eventually settling in the area to be with her children.

Mary is survived by her children, George (Peggy Melcher) Gift III and Christine High; four grandchildren, Jason, Heidi, and Miranda Gutshall, and Johnnie Carroll; two sisters, Pat and Kathy; and her significant other, Harvey Poling.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Mike and Charles Bortner.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
