<p>Gresham School District</p><p>Gresham School is off to a roaring start with a new look both outside and inside.</p><p>Thanks to a great maintenance staff, we have newly painted halls, new cubbies for our elementary students, and many new improvements throughout our school.</p><p>Thanks to our school board and the Gresham Advancement Association, we have two murals outside the front of our school and our parking lot has a new look. We also have new playground equipment, benches and picnic tables.

School Notes

<p>Hillcrest Primary School</p><p>This fall, students at Hillcrest are learning about color, beginning with exploring the rainbow, primary colors and secondary colors. Students are creating a detailed drawing of their name, which will be colored by mixing colors with paint. Then we will embark on a 3-dimensional sculpture of their favorite colors in the form of a huge crayon, paint brush or paint palette. Mrs.

<p>Shawano School District's Olga Brener Intermediate and Hillcrest Primary were recognized as Wisconsin PBIS Network Schools of Merit for their efforts last year in finding new ways to encourage positive behavior in students.</p><p>The new incentive program, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), helps students to understand what is expected of them, gives teachers a framework for rewards and punishments, and enables administrators to use data -- rather than gut reactions -- to make decisions about discipline, according to the Wisconsin PBIS Network we
