Volleyball Roundup

The Tigerton volleyball team improved to 1-0 in the Central Wisconsin Conference-10 and 7-0 overall after rolling over Almond-Bancroft 3-0 Thursday.<br /><br /><!-- 1upcrlf2 -->Tigerton won the games 25-8, 25-8 and 25-6.<br /><br /><!-- 1upcrlf2 -->Erin Ortner led the Tigers with 13 points and seven blocks, while Fara Sellner had 12 points and Rachel Robbins had 10 points and 10 assists. Emily Ortner closed with nine points and 14 kills.

The Tigerton volleyball team improved to 1-0 in the Central Wisconsin Conference-10 and 7-0 overall after rolling over Almond-Bancroft 3-0 Thursday.

Tigerton won the games 25-8, 25-8 and 25-6.

Erin Ortner led the Tigers with 13 points and seven blocks, while Fara Sellner had 12 points and Rachel Robbins had 10 points and 10 assists. Emily Ortner closed with nine points and 14 kills. Miranda Michaelis had eight points, six assists and six blocks.

Both the Shawano boys and girls cross country teams picked up fourth-place finishes Thursday at the eight-team De Pere Invitational.<br /><br /><!-- 1upcrlf2 -->The Shawano boys team finished with 102 points, while the Shawano girls had 134 points.<br /><br /><!-- 1upcrlf2 -->On the boys side, D.C. Everest took first with 32 points, while Bay Port was second with 50 points and De Pere was third with 64.<br /><br /><!-- 1upcrlf2 -->For the girls, Bay Port grabbed first with 30 points as Luxemburg-Casco was second with 49 points. Hawks run to fourth at De Pere

Both the Shawano boys and girls cross country teams picked up fourth-place finishes Thursday at the eight-team De Pere Invitational.

The Shawano boys team finished with 102 points, while the Shawano girls had 134 points.

On the boys side, D.C. Everest took first with 32 points, while Bay Port was second with 50 points and De Pere was third with 64.

For the girls, Bay Port grabbed first with 30 points as Luxemburg-Casco was second with 49 points. D.C. Everest was third with 50 points.
