We know all of you are dying to get outside, and hopefully, summer and freedom are just down the road. While you are waiting in quarantine, now is the perfect time to get your skin in great shape for summer sun and summer fun. Not sure where to start? Here are some tips for getting the perfect skin for summer.

Get Your Skin in Summer Shape with a Dermaroller

If you haven’t heard of a dermaroller, let us give you some information. Dermarollers are taken from old acupuncture laws that are thousands of years old. Dermatologists took ancient acupuncture practices and fashioned a roller with tiny needles to use on different parts of your body. If you want to use a dermaroller on your face, the needles need to be less than 0.5 mm. Dermarollers for your face are used to make tiny holes in your skin, and your body then rushes collagen and elastin to the area. These proteins help to make your skin younger and firmer. If you decide to use a dermaroller, you need to cleanse your skin first, and then use a toner. When you begin to use a dermaroller, be sure you are only using it once a week to give your skin an opportunity to recover.

Serums to Use After A Dermaroller

One of the best things to add after the dermaroller use for your skincare routine is to introduce serum. Whether you want to use a dermaroller or not, you need to add serums to your routine. Many people use serums each day after the toner, but before the moisturizer. In fact, serums actually add to the benefits of your moisturizer. There are lots of different serums to choose from to give your summer skin a healthy glow.

We love serums. One of our favorites for great summer skin is pure Squalane oil. A lot of people with oily skin think they can’t use serums, because it adds liquid to a skin that doesn’t need any. Also, people with oily skin have more problems in the summer, because skin usually becomes more oily during the summer season. However, we are here to make a case for Squalane oil. Squalane is found naturally in your skin. As you age, the levels of Squalane decrease, which makes your skin look older. Squalane works wonders with oily skin, and actually balances out the oil in your skin. It also works to help the redness and irritation people with oily skin and breakouts have.

Another serum you may want to try is Matrixyl 3000. If you have skin that is dry and damaged, this is a wonderful serum for you. Matrixyl 3000 helps your skin from the inside out, healing and repairing your skin. It stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which helps to keep your skin young and firm. You never need serum at any greater time than in the summer, when you may damage your skin and not even know it.

If you are thinking about summer, why not get started now? Perfect that skincare routine for a perfect summer glow.
